School Cook Specialist

Basecamp foundation, a non-profit organization, is seeking a skilled and experienced Food Service Coordinator to join our team at Mara Girls Leadership School in Masai Mara. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for planning menus, overseeing food preparation, and managing food costs.

• Plan and oversee food preparation to ensure nutritious meals are served to students.
• Manage food costs and implement cost-saving measures to optimize resources.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by ensuring proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment and utensils.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Teacher.

This role requires a diploma in Catering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen, preferably in a school setting. Alternatively, KCSE Certificate (Minimum D-) with 3-5 years' experience in a school setting may be considered. A valid public health certificate is mandatory.
