Senior Intern: Social Impact

This internship provides a unique chance to contribute to the efforts of a leading organization dedicated to ending violence against women and girls in East and Southern Africa. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the work of strengthening women movements and coalition building in the region.
The organization has been working tirelessly to advance social, economic, and political rights of women and girls, including the right to live free of all forms of violence. With a strong presence in 25 countries across the region, they have been instrumental in coordinating efforts to end VAWG through transformative feminist action, movement strengthening, and coordinated advocacy.
Your responsibilities will include supporting EVAWG partners in coordination and documentation of their efforts under the ACT Programme, as well as organizing and documenting meetings, workshops, and learning sessions. You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge on gender equality, ending violence against women and girls, and evidence-based programming approaches for EVAWG prevention and response.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while making a meaningful contribution to the advancement of women's rights in Africa.

What We Offer:
This internship provides a stipend from UN Women to partially subsidize basic living costs for the duration of the internship. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
