Research Associate for Peace and Conflict Research

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate for Peace and Conflict Research to join our team at AGIAMONDO. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of curricula for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in peace and conflict research.

• Develop and implement research projects in peace and conflict studies, working closely with academic staff and students.
• Support the design and delivery of teaching modules in peace and conflict research, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
• Supervise students during their internships, providing guidance and support to help them apply their academic knowledge in practice.
• Contribute to the development of new research projects, collaborating with colleagues from the partner organisation.
• Manage funds in the field, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO requirements.

• Master's degree in peace and conflict studies, religious studies, or a comparable subject area.
• Experience in peace and conflict work or interreligious dialogue, ideally with a focus on the East African context.
• Relevant professional experience in a university context, e.g., through teaching activities, module development, or research work.
• Experience in grassroots work and knowledge of how to strengthen local initiatives.
• Fluency in English, with knowledge of Kiswahili an advantage.
• EU citizenship or Swiss nationality, with a strong commitment to church development and peace work.
