Role summary

The Financial Analyst will support a family office services company structure. The role offers a unique opportunity for a capable, analytical, and entrepreneurial professional to contribute to the design and implementation of the family enterprise investment governance, reporting, and portfolio management frameworks. The Analyst will work closely with the principals, external advisors, and investment partners to manage and consolidate financial data, monitor existing investments, support due diligence, support bank and other financing, and contribute to strategic asset allocation and pipeline evaluation.

Over time, the role is expected to evolve as the family office matures, with potential for accelerated career growth under the mentorship of the principals as the platform institutionalizes and grows.

Key Roles and responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Monitoring

  • Track and evaluate performance across existing private and public investments
  • Prepare quarterly performance dashboards and cash flow projections
  • Suggest strategies to improve financial and cashflow performance

Portfolio Consolidation:

  • Mapping and structuring the family's assets, including direct investments, real estate holdings, operating businesses, and alternative funds.

Research & Due Diligence:

  • Conduct investment screening, benchmarking, and comparative valuation analyses for new opportunities across asset classes.
  • Support financial and business plan creation and performance monitoring for new incubation ventures.

Financial Structuring and Modelling

  • Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and reporting templates to support decision-making.
  • Support operating subsidiaries with strategic financing negotiation and structuring including equity, debt and convertible instruments.

Governance & Documentation

  • Integrate technology, digital tools, and innovative practices into project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and embedding best practices.
  • Ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into project outcomes.

Advisor Coordination

  • Liaise with wealth, tax, legal, asset management and accounting advisors to consolidate reporting and ensure compliance with family and business governance structures.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or wealth management, ideally with exposure to high-net-worth or institutional clients.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, and Excel/PowerPoint skills; familiarity with investment reporting tools advantageous.
  • Understanding of portfolio construction principles, valuation, and financial statement analysis.
  • Professional credentials (or progress toward) CFA, ACA, or CAIA preferred.
