Its services include comprehensive driver training programs, issuance of International Driving Permits, Car Passports, vehicle inspection and valuation, technical training courses, and road rescue services. Additionally, the organization provides Driver Assessments and offers a variety of other mobility-related solutions to meet the diverse needs of motorists. AA Kenya is also actively engaged in the Tour and Travels sector, further broadening its portfolio of services in the transportation industry.

1. Legal & Compliance Officer

The Legal & Compliance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that AA Kenya conducts its operations in strict compliance with all applicable laws, financial regulations, and established standards of corporate governance. This position is essential in upholding the organization's integrity and legal standing, providing guidance and counsel to support the highest levels of governance and operational conduct.

Key Performance Areas

·      Regulatory and Operational Compliance: Oversee and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements relevant to AA Kenya's business operations.

·      Reporting on Legal and Corporate Governance Matters: Prepare and present detailed reports on legal issues and corporate governance to management and relevant stakeholders.

·      Engagement with Investors, Stakeholders, and Other Third Parties: Act as a liaison, maintaining open and effective communication with investors, stakeholders, and external parties on legal and compliance matters.

·      Legal Counsel to the Board and Executive Committee: Provide expert legal advice to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, supporting their decision-making processes.

·      Litigation Management: Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation involving AA Kenya, ensuring the organization's interests are effectively represented and protected.

Minimum Job Requirements

·      Bachelor's degree in law or a Postgraduate Diploma in Law

·      Membership in the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) in good standing

·      Certified Public Secretary will be an added advantage

·      At least three years of legal experience, with a minimum of two years in a similar role

·      Experience in corporate, commercial, and employment law

·      Strong understanding of corporate governance within a publicly listed company

·      Commercial awareness and business-oriented mindset

·      Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

·      Diplomatic approach and confidence when providing support to high-profile individuals, including company staff and board members

2.     Research & Innovations Officer

The Research & Innovations Officer holds a pivotal position within the organization, driving the business forward through dedicated research, product innovation, and market intelligence. This role is essential for ensuring AA Kenya remains competitive and adaptable to the evolving needs of clients. The officer will focus on identifying new business opportunities, carrying out comprehensive market research—which includes competitor and industry analysis—and generating actionable insights for the development of products and services. By providing evidence-based recommendations, the position supports the formulation and implementation of effective business growth strategies.

·      Business Research and Innovation: Conduct in-depth research to identify trends and opportunities for innovation within the business.

·      Market Intelligence & Analysis: Gather and analyze market data to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

·      Product Development Support: Provide insights and recommendations to support the creation and enhancement of products and services.

·      Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that business solutions are aligned accordingly.

·      Business Growth Enablement: Facilitate growth by delivering evidence-based strategies and recommendations that drive business development.

·      Foster a culture of creativity and innovations.

Minimum Job Requirements

·      A bachelor's degree in related field

·      Strong knowledge of the automotive and mobility industry, including an understanding of relevant technologies, current trends, and market dynamics.

·      A minimum of four years' proven experience in research, market analysis, product development, or innovation.

·      Proficiency in research methodologies and expertise in data collection and analysis tools.

·      Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting, and presentation tools to effectively communicate findings and insights.

Skills and Competencies

·      Demonstrated excellence in research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.

·      Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

·      Expertise in market research methodologies and the ability to interpret complex data.

3.     Security and Safety Officer

The Security and Safety Officer hold a crucial position in safeguarding the company's personnel, property, and assets. This role involves supporting office administration, facilitating compliance activities, and advancing workplace health and safety initiatives to uphold business continuity across the organization. The principal objectives of the Security and Safety Officer include monitoring premises to protect staff and assets, preventing theft and unauthorized access, responding swiftly to emergencies, and implementing safety protocols to mitigate the risk of accidents and harm.

Key Responsibilities

·      Ensure that security protocols and measures are consistently upheld across all the over 90 branches of AA, maintaining a secure environment for staff and assets.

·      Oversee and manage relationships with outsourced security firms to guarantee effective service delivery and alignment with AA standards.

·      Operate and monitor surveillance systems to promptly identify and address potential security threats or breaches.

·      Administer and control access points throughout the organization, ensuring only authorized personnel gain entry to restricted areas.

·      Maintain detailed and comprehensive records of all security-related incidents, supporting transparency and facilitating future investigations.

·      Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, fostering a safe and secure working environment for employees and visitors.

Minimum Job Requirements;

·      Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent qualifications

·      Relevant security certifications

·      Training in security management and security technologies

·      At least three years of prior experience as a safety and security officer or in a security-related position

·      Strong investigation and reporting skills

·      Excellent communication and organizational abilities

·      Proficiency in monitoring surveillance systems and responding to emergencies

·      Effective team building and leadership qualities
