JOB TITLE: FORESTERAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.We are lookingfor a competent, skilled, and experienced Forester to work in Eldoretand its Environs to support our client in establishment and management of small,medium and large -scale forestsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Co -ordinatewith the client on planning· Participatein recruitment of project staff· Superviseextension offices (and casual employees) for establishment and management offorests· Superviseexecution of the workplan as agreed by the client· Conducttraining of Supervisors, Team leaders and staff on SOPs· Ensureall forest establishment services are done as per the client's standards perplot· Ensureadequate and timely supply of tools and equipment, collection and safe storageafter work· Ensuretimely, complete and accurate data entry by self and your team as required bythe client· Ensuresafe keeping of all client and company issued tools and equipment· Ensureall staff payments are processed on time ensuring integrity of the process andpayments· Preparedaily, weekly and periodic reports as requested· Manageproject execution costs, take responsibility for financial performance of theproject· Provideexpert advisory to the client on forest management.· Ensureall SOPs and legal requirements for the forestry industry are complied with· Participate in client organized/sponsoredmeetings/activities as may be requested from time to time· Take lead in ensuring that allactivities are carried out in a safe manner and all safety protocols put inplace are adhered to· Proactively communicate to managementand the client any foreseen challenges and ensure adequate mitigation measuresare put in place· Ensure all documents/reports requiredto facilitate invoicing are provided on timeKNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· MinimumDiploma in Forestry or Agroforestry· Validdriving and/or motorbike riding license· Excellentoral and written Communication Skills· Excellentplanning & organizational skills· Computerliterate with excellent knowledge in excel, email and Power point· 3 -5years' in managing tree plantations· Excellentdata analysis and report writing skills· Goodunderstanding of finance language· Goodadministrative skills.· Attentiveto detail and a good negotiator· Goodknowledge of safety and risk management· Projectmanagement skills or experience an added advantageInterestedand qualified applicants should submit their applications through the linkbelow.Note:Only shortlisted applicants will becontacted.Q -SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUALOPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
