JOB TITLE: FORESTRY EXTENSIO OFFICERAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.We are lookingfor competent, skilled, and experienced Forestry extension officers towork in Eldoret and its Environs to support our client in establishmentand management of small, medium and large -scale forestsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Co -ordinatewith the Forester and the client team on planning· Participatein recruitment of casual employees· Supervisecasual employees for establishment and management of forests· Superviseexecution of the workplan in the designated extension area  as agreed with the forester· Conducttraining of casual employees on SOPs· Ensureall forest establishment services are done as per the client's standards perplot· Ensureadequate and timely supply of tools and equipment, collection and safe storageafter work· Ensuretimely, complete and accurate data entry as required by the client· Ensuresafe keeping of all client and company issued tools and equipment· Ensureall staff attendance data is correct, accurate and submitted in a timely manner· Preparedaily, weekly and periodic reports as requested· Ensureoperations within your scope are carried out within budget· Participate in clientorganized/sponsored meetings/activities as may be requested from time to time· Ensure that all activities are carriedout in a safe manner and all safety protocols put in place are adhered to· Proactively communicate to managementand the client any foreseen challenges and ensure adequate mitigation measuresare put in placeKNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· MinimumCertificate in Forestry or Agroforestry· Validmotorbike riding license· Excellentoral and written Communication Skills· Excellentplanning & organizational skills· Computerliterate with excellent knowledge in handling digital platforms· 2 -3years' experience in managing tree plantations on farmer fields· Excellentdata analysis and report writing skills· Goodknowledge of safety and risk managementInterestedand qualified applicants should submit their applications through the linkbelow.Note:Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Q -SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUALOPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
