NOTICE OF POSITIONS
Position**
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the following teaching positions:
**LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
CENTRAL COMMITTEE ON SPECIAL EDUCATION

Qualifications
Candidates must be New York State certified in Social Work.
It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications
. Preference is given to those candidates that hold a Licensed Clinical Social Work Certification (LCSW). A minimum of two (2) years of social work experience in the Buffalo Public Schools is required. Candidates should have experience in providing clinical support and in demonstrating ability in a wide range of therapeutic modalities
LOCATION:
PS 197 Math Science Technology Preparatory School
Duties
- Provide administrative and clinical supervision to staff in Clinical Services to enable staff to become licensed clinical social workers.
- Establishing an environment to enhance individual growth
- Processing and facilitating on-going services for students with disabilities and their families
- Acting as a key member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of instructional personnel, psychologist, counselors, and other team members as required
- Provide social work support to schools
- Provide social work support to the Committee on Special Education
- Perform any assigned duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Appointment
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
