Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Attachment at Purpose Tours and Travel located in Kitui Town, C House Building, Second Floor, Room C-13

The Attachment will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of travel itineraries, handling hotel reservations, arranging transport, and providing logistical support for travel activities.

Attachment Objectives:

This attachment offers a comprehensive exposure to the core operations of a travel agency, including secretarial support, social media marketing, administrative duties, and operational management with minimal supervision.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Secretarial & Administrative Support

- Managing correspondence and communication with clients and vendors

- Preparing and organizing travel documents, itineraries, and reports

- Scheduling appointments and meetings

- Maintaining organized records and files

2. Social Media Marketing & Brand Promotion

- Creating and curating engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok & LinkedIn)

- Managing social media accounts and analyzing engagement metrics

- Assisting in digital campaigns to promote tour packages and special offers

- Monitoring online reputation and responding to customer inquiries

3. Administrative & Operational Tasks

- Assisting in booking arrangements and travel logistics

- Coordinating with service providers (hotels, airlines, transport)

- Supporting day-to-day administrative activities with minimal supervision

- Contributing to process improvements and reporting

Qualifications

  • Experience in travel coordination and itinerary planning
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and travel management software
  • Knowledge of local travel destinations and attractions in Kenya
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field
