As a FinTech company, agilityand continuous learning form the backbone of daily operations. ROLE PURPOSE           The Business Unit Manager will lead thestrategic and commercial growth of a key business vertical within the organization.This role is responsible for driving revenue expansion, strengtheningpartnerships, and building high performing teams that operate effectivelyacross the East African market.The Manager will translate corporatestrategy into measurable commercial outcomes by leading disciplined operations,managing profit and loss performance, and supporting product innovation andmarket penetration. This position calls for a seasoned commercial leader withdeep understanding of digital financial services, strong analytical capability,and confidence in driving cross border business development initiatives.DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES   Take full responsibility for the businessvertical Profit & Loss (P&L)Achieve or exceed budgeted targets forrevenue, EBITDA, profitLead the business vertical from anoperational and financial perspectivePrepare accurate and timely reports forsenior management and the Board of DirectorsPrepare and present the Quarterly BusinessReview (QBR) to the Board of DirectorsDemonstrate successfulrelationship -building with senior management within the organization to ensurealignment of company objectives and effective cross -functional processes.Demonstrate sales/revenue growth successChampion and initiate continuousimprovement on sales processes, cost control and quality controlEnsure company policies and procedures areunderstood and consistently followed by all team membersLead, coach, and develop a high -performingteam, delegating tasks and authority as appropriateManage Key Performance Indicators and reportingon daily performanceFoster an environment of opencommunication, collaboration, and mutual respectDetermine performance drivers and directaccountability for that performanceCreate an energizing work environment thatsupports the company's high performance cultureDevelop and implement effective problemresolution processesDevelop new concepts that meet customerneeds or changing existing offerings to meet changing market conditionsConduct market research studies toidentify potential new customers or new uses for existing products or servicesMonitoring industry trends and competitoractivities to identify areas where additional research or development is neededto maintain competitivenessAnalyse data and financial reports toinform decision -makingRepresentthe company at industry events and conferences RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE· Master's degreein Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field· 10+ years ofprogressive commercial experience, including at least 5 years in seniormanagement· Provenexperience managing a business unit with full P and L responsibility· Practicalexperience in FinTech, digital banking, mobile payments, or financial inclusion· Experience incross -border East African markets (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopiapreferred)· Demonstratedsuccess in revenue growth, business development, and building high -performingteams Strongstakeholder management and communication skills
