In 2018, the team successfully introduced the pioneering neobank, Space, in Georgia. Building upon this success, subsequent efforts were directed towards the creation and launch of the fully digital bank in Uzbekistan, TBC UZ, in 2020. In a significant move towards enhancing its foothold in the Uzbek market, the group acquired Payme, a prominent local payments provider and esteemed brand among the Uzbek populace, in 2023.

Presently, a dedicated team of 1,700 professionals representing 17 nationalities collaborates to advance TBC's international presence. We are looking for talented individuals with Machine Learning Engineer (Speech Tech) experience to join our team

Primary Focus

• Develop and optimize ASR and TTS models to enhance the accuracy and lifelikeness of our voice assistant products.
• Work closely with product managers and software engineers to integrate speech technology into various banking applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with data teams to implement robust data pipelines specifically tailored for audio data processing and model training.
• Continuously refine speech models to adapt to new accents, dialects, and user interactions, improving system responsiveness and user satisfaction.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in speech processing technologies and apply innovative methods and tools to maintain leadership in voice-assisted banking services.
• Conduct detailed testing and validation of speech models to meet the stringent requirements of the financial industry, focusing on security and privacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on speech recognition and synthesis.
• Expert knowledge of deep learning frameworks and architectures used in ASR and TTS, such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks, and transformers.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying ASR and TTS systems, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience in writing production-ready code (git, tests, linters, code analyzers, CI, code reviews, etc.);
• Understanding of how parameter-efficient fine-tuning methods work and be able to apply them (LoRA and more);
• Proficiency in Python and experience with audio processing libraries.
• Understanding of the unique challenges of speech technologies, including accent diversity, background noise, and real-time processing requirements.
• Experience with multi-GPU training environments and optimization techniques suitable for large-scale model training.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Experience of leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and providing technical guidance and support is a plus;
