Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Banqueting Manager to join our team and assist in the seamless execution of banqueting events and F&B services.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment multiple events locations within 6 centers.
As a Banqueting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of events by coordinating various elements to deliver exceptional service to our clients and members.
Overall Duties And Responsibilities
- Event Coordination:
– Assist in coordinating all aspects of banqueting events from planning to execution.
– creating BEO forms directly from information provided by Events Manager and team members for each event.
– Manage and continuously train event hosts and F&B hosts assigned to events.
– Collaborate with Events team and clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
– Ensure timely and accurate communication with internal teams and external vendors to fulfill event specifications.
- Team Management:
– Provide support to the banqueting team by assigning tasks and ensuring their completion.
– Supervise banquet staff during events, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols.
– Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of junior staff members.
- Guest Satisfaction:
– Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
– Monitor event proceedings to guarantee smooth flow and handle any unexpected situations effectively.
– Gather feedback from clients and guests to continuously improve banqueting services.
- Operations Management:
– Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, including arranging furniture, décor, and equipment as per event requirements.
– Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining quality and presentation standards.
– Monitor inventory levels and place orders for banquet supplies as needed.
- Financial Management:
– Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
– Track expenses related to banqueting operations and reconcile accounts accurately.
– Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in banqueting, event planning, or hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, guests, and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and POS softwares.
- Certification in Food Handling and Alcohol Service.
