Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pastry Chef located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods and desserts, planning recipes, preparing ingredients, and following established cooking and baking techniques. Additional responsibilities include ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences in line with the institution's standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Bakery and Baking techniques
  • Expertise in Food Preparation and Cooking
  • Strong Culinary Skills, with a focus on pastry and dessert creation
  • Attention to detail and creativity in presentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Prior experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role is highly desirable
  • Certification or formal training in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus
