Job Function

To manage the warehouse activities - Inbound, Warehouse, Inventory and Dispatch functions at the warehouse.

Key Performance Areas:

• Co-ordinate Warehouse functions (Planning, receiving, picking, checking, scheduling and timely handover of orders for dispatch daily).
• Ensure all inbounds are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all orders are picked up and checked accurately.
• Ensure completed orders from the warehouse are handed over for distribution in good condition, in full and on time as per daily cut-off.
• Plan and communicate dispatch schedules within cut off times
• Escalate ad hoc/abnormal order requests for decision making - 100% escalation.
• Ensure FEFO is adhered to when generating Warehouse tasks.
• Ensure cold chain products are stored, handled and packaged as per the SOP and work instructions.
• Transfer of products within the various sections of the warehouse to be carried out to completion the same day.
• Ensure all products are packaged as per client instructions (TMDs, Labels, Shrink-wrap, coding, etc.).
• Champion maintenance of storage and Order checking areas/manifesting and associated equipment.
• Generate accurate and timeous Daily/Weekly/Monthly Warehouse and ad hoc activity reports.
• Carry out daily warehouse inspection to identify gaps, safety violations, warehouse hygiene, storage areas maintenance, equipment status (Rack, MHE and staging areas) and monitoring execution of warehouse tasks.
• Maintain minimum stock levels for all consumables (Shippers, TMDs, stretch wraps, cooler boxes, Gel Packs, Tapes, etc).
• Implement and review SOPs impacting on warehousing functions.
• Maintain Warehouse records.
• Developing work procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure OPS related NCs are raised and closed out within 30days.
• Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
• Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
• Generate records for assigned rack and equipment.
• Participate in SOP and other scheduled trainings.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure punctuality in reporting and execution of assigned roles.
• Report near misses and safety hazards, exercise stop work authority.
• Train warehouse operations on storage & dispatch functions
• provide guidance, support, and identify development needs
• manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma in business related courses or equivalent.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Warehouse operations training and experience in fast-paced environment
• Analytical skills, attention to detail
• Warehouse supervisory skills
• Experience in quality management
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in quality management
• Good verbal and written communication plus excellent telephonic skills.
• Computer Proficiency.
• Quality of Work – Meets the established standards for work performance.
