Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior RPG Application Developer to join our Technology team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPG IV and ILE development, with expertise in managing full lifecycle software development projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead RPG-based applications from conception to implementation.Summary of candidate attributes:-Proven track record and highly skilled in RPGLE development, RPG400, RPGIV, Free RPG, etcStrong Analysis and technical design skillsProven knowledge of the full Software Lifecycle Delivery CycleStrong stakeholder relationship and communication skillsUnderstanding of delivering Business & IT Programmes in an agile frameworkSignificant experience of designing complex solutionsStrong analytical and investigation skillsSolid understanding of software change managementFluent in English & SpanishExperience in the following areas would prove beneficial:Aldon software change managementiSeries JournalingProfoundUIModernisation tooling - X-Analysis or similarJIRA

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG IV, RPG Free, CL, SQL, and other IBM i technologies.Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Provide technical leadership and guidance in the planning, design, and execution of projects.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet business goals.Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.Ensure compliance with industry standards and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records.Stay current with technology advancements and software development best practices.
