About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Professional to provide part-time support to an early-stage cybersecurity startup. This role is ideal for someone with startup finance experience, strong modeling skills, and the ability to work independently to deliver accurate financial insights under tight deadlines. You will play a critical role in building the company's financial infrastructure, preparing models, budgets and investor-ready reports that will directly inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

● Financial Modeling & Budgeting: Build and maintain detailed financial models tailored for an early-stage startup.

● Forecasting: Develop and refine budgets, cash flow forecasts, and scenario planning models.

● Investor & Board Reporting: Prepare clear, compelling presentations and reports for investors and board meetings.

● Strategic Finance Support: Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial analysis.

● Ad Hoc Analysis: Deliver financial analysis for decision-making and growth planning.

Must-Have Qualifications

● 3–5+ years of finance experience with early-stage startups (preferably tech or cybersecurity).

● Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

● Strong presentation-building skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides) with ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

● Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.

● Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice-to-Have

● Experience working with VC-backed startups and preparing investor decks.

● Familiarity with SaaS/cybersecurity business models (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, etc.).

● Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial tools.
