JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Content Manager, your role will be to create engaging content across our social media channels, blog, as well as other channels to support Koa in building out our voice and share great content with our community

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Visual Designer to run and manage campaigns, produce engaging clear text for different advertising channels such as social, website, and blogs. Your duties include researching keywords, producing interesting SEO-driven content, and proofreading work for accuracy and quality

You will also be responsible for tracking and monitoring online activity as well as reporting on the online activity.

Responsibilities:

Develop content strategy aligned with short and long term marketing objectives to drive brand awareness and conversion.

Oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and an overall positive customer experience.

Write clear, error-free, and compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. social ads, blog posts, newsletters). Edit and proofread copy as needed.

Interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts using SEO principles to maximize Koa's reach.

Manage all of Koa's social media channels- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn-  as well as community platform including analytics and reporting

Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention

Requirements

At least 3-5 years experience in marketing and content experience, ideally at a high-growth startup

Ability to translate business needs into impactful communication

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to hold grammatical and brand standards

Exceptional communicator (written and oral) with strong interpersonal skills

Can-do attitude with willingness to roll up your sleeves and figure it out    

Great organisational skills ensuring nothing falls through the cracks    

Ability to wear many hats and the poise to navigate the fast-paced environment of our growing company

Be emotionally intelligent, humble, and excited to work within a team with a diverse set of experiences, backgrounds, and skills

Bilingual in English and Kiswahili

Video editing experience preferred
