Job Purpose

The EHS Junior Consultant will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, audits, and training services in line with
OSHA 2007
,
EMCA 1999
, and related subsidiary legislations. The role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to deliver EHS solutions effectively to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal
    Occupational Safety and Health Audits
    in compliance with the
    OSHA 2007
    and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the execution of
    Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
    and
    Environmental Audits (EA)
    in accordance with NEMA guidelines.
  • Support the development and facilitation of
    safety and health trainings
    , including induction, awareness, and refresher programs.
  • Prepare internal audit reports, safety documentation, and compliance recommendations for clients.
  • Participate in site inspections, risk assessments, and workplace hazard identification exercises.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, project coordination, and other consultancy support tasks as assigned.
  • Represent Envosh Consultants professionally during stakeholder engagements and training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A
    Diploma or Degree
    in
    Occupational Safety and Health
    ,
    Environmental Science
    , or a related field (course lasting not less than 2 years).
  • At least
    6 months to 1 year of experience
    in a similar position, preferably in an
    EHS consultancy firm
    .
  • Working knowledge of
    OSHA 2007
    ,
    EMCA 1999
    , and relevant subsidiary legislations.
  • Good understanding of
    EIA
    and
    Environmental Audit
    procedures.
  • Excellent
    public speaking
    and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
