Maisha Mapya Learning Centre, a well-established and dynamic, Christian nonprofit institution involved in education and community development is seeking to recruit a Biology/Pre-Tech Teacher for JSS level who will be based in Nakuru.

Job Summary
The Biology/Pre-Tech Teacherr will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons. The role includes creating effective lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic growth. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and contribute to the overall development of students

  • Biology/ChemistryTeacher-JSS section- ( BED or DIP in Edu)

What You Will Do

  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
  • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
  • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments,) to the learners
  • Assess and record student progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.
  • Observe and understand students behaviour and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, or abuse.
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars or conferences.
  • Any other duties assigned to you by the management within your capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education Degree, Diploma in Education
  • Must have a Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration number.
  • experience as a teacher and CBC competent.
  • Strong moral values and discipline. Ability to be flexible in teaching various subjects and age groups.
