Position - Pre-Sales Consultant - IT Security Solutions

Work Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Experience : Minimum 4 Years in presales of Data & AI

Interview Process - F2F in Mumbai (Travel Expenses would be reimbursed by company once interview is done)

Responsibilities

  • Articulate Security Value Proposition: Demonstrate how our IT security solutions protect business assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce cyber risk exposure.
  • Solution Areas: Zero-Trust Architectures, Threat Intelligence & Analytics, Network & Endpoint Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud & Application Security, Regulatory Compliance & Governance.
  • Technical Engagement: Collaborate with security OEMs to gather solution details and co-develop customized architectures.
  • Solution Design & Proposals: Prepare high-level designs, including security architecture diagrams, bill of materials (BOM), scope, and cost estimates.
  • Demonstrations & Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs): Conduct PoCs to validate security fit, e.g., simulating zero-trust access, SIEM/SOAR automation, or penetration test use cases.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers to provide technical expertise, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and address customer objections in the presales cycle.
  • Bid Support: Assist Bid Desk Administrator with accurate and competitive technical sections in security proposals.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, compliance regulations, competitor offerings, and industry trends in East Africa.
  • Enablement: Train internal sales teams on new security technologies, frameworks, and regulatory implications.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Document technical proposals, PoC results, and lessons learned for reuse.

Requisite Soft Skills

  • Strong technical communication skills for security concepts.
  • Persuasion and influencing skills in risk and compliance discussions.
  • Analytical problem-solving for threat modeling and security design.
  • Collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and regulators.
  • Detail-oriented approach for secure solution documentation.
  • Adaptability to fast-changing security technologies.
  • Customer-centric approach tailored to business risk appetite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 4+ years in IT security presales, solution architecture, or consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, SIEM, IAM, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific security certifications.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, Kenya Data Protection Act).
  • Proficiency in design and presentation tools (Visio, PPT, Excel).
  • Willingness to travel for client security assessments and PoCs.
