Electrical Engineer
.

. As part of our continued growth, we're seeking a highly skilled professional to join our electrical engineering operations at one of the country's leading steel production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all electrical engineering functions within the factory.
  2. Design, plan, and execute electrical systems in line with global manufacturing standards.
  3. Work closely with international suppliers of mill spare parts to ensure operational efficiency.
  4. Utilize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automation, maintenance, and process control.
  5. Support and enhance industrial automation and electrical systems to improve production reliability and efficiency.
  6. Lead troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications, knowledge & Skills

  1. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation and Control/Mechatronics Engineering.
  2. At least 10 years' experience in Electrical Engineering in a steel manufacturing industry. Experience in a steel tube manufacturing plant is an added advantage.
  3. Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
  4. Sound knowledge in Programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI and SCADA systems, Maintenance management, Industrial automation and control.
  5. Experience in repairs of High frequency induction welders, Radio frequency circuits, power electronics and systematic components testing.
  6. Experience in repairs of Oscillators, solid state HF modules with clear understanding IGBTs, SCRs, MOSFETS, RF transformers and capacitors
  7. Experience in power supply and control circuits.
  8. Experience in repairs of AC/DC Variable speed drives, PCB boards and all electronic components.
  9. Ability to build and work in a team environment.
  10. Strong personality and work ethics coupled with a strong sense of integrity.
  11. Problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, organized and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
