Job Purpose

Generic Brands Limited

is expanding its Corporate Merchandise division — supplying high-quality branded items such as hats, T-shirts, stationery, and promotional giveaways to leading brands like Supa Loaf, Basco Paints, and Muthokinju Paints.

We are seeking an energetic and ambitious Salesperson to drive growth in this segment by building relationships with corporate clients, identifying opportunities, and closing sales for customized branded merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach potential corporate clients for branded merchandise opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with marketing, procurement, and brand teams in target organizations.
  • Understand client branding needs and propose suitable product solutions (e.g., apparel, stationery, accessories, giveaways).
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, quotations, and proposals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, designers, and production teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, product ideas, and competitive opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM tools or reports.
  • Attend corporate events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote the company's merchandise offerings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales — preferably in promotional items, printing, branding, or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of branding and marketing needs of corporate clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools.

Remuneration:

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission.
