Job Description

To meet delegated legal objectives and provide expert legal support through effective case planning, legal research, document drafting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic and operational goals. The role leverages deep technical legal knowledge to offer sound recommendations to the legal team and deliver high-quality advisory services to business units. This contributes to the proactive identification and mitigation of legal risks, ensuring compliance and safeguarding the bank's interests.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: First Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Law (KSL)

Professional Requirements

  • Duly Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • Active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK)

Experience Required

Legal

5-7 years

  • Proven experience in case planning, development and management, legal research, drafting and analysing legal documents, with at least 3 years within the legal and/or financial sectors.
  • Multiskilled Legal Advisor with expertise in corporate law, financial & banking regulations, contract negotiation, litigation management, risk assessment and structuring and execution of transactions in line with applicable laws, market practice and the Bank's practices, policies and procedures.
