Job Description – Barista

Position Title: Barista

Reports To: Café Manager / Supervisor

Location: Mugoya Estate, South C, Nairobi.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Barista with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy café or restaurant environment. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks to standard recipes.

* Operate coffee-making equipment including espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewers.

* Ensure consistency in beverage quality, taste, and presentation.

* Take customer orders, process payments, and provide recommendations when requested.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and dining areas.

* Monitor inventory levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies, and report shortages to management.

* Comply with health and safety regulations.

* Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to customers at all times.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years' proven experience as a Barista in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant.

* Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and beverage preparation.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
