Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an internal auditor assistant based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The I.A will be responsible for preparing financial and audit reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Additional responsibilities include handling payroll, and assisting with external audits and budget preparation.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and general accounting principles
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools for record-keeping and data analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate financial interpretation
  • Preparation of internal audit reports
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the finance team and other departments
  • Professional certifications such as CPA Part 2, ACCA, or equivalent
  • Experience - 1 year similar environment
