JOB TITLE: REPAIRS TECHNICIANAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.On behalf ofour client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Repairs Technician to work in Nairobi, KenyaJob Summary:Thejobholder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability by conductingtechnical repair and testing of the client's faulty products returned to thewarehouse, including smartphones and other assorted accessories.DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:· Carrying out component analysis ofrelevant client products e.g. Smartphones· Carry out the initial screening andquality checks of all the client's faulty devices to identify product failurereasons.· Carry out technical repairs of allclient products using hand tools and power tools· Consistently advancing technicalknowledge especially upon when new product entry and discovery of new faultcodes.· Testing and inspecting products afterrepair to identify possible problems that could lead to future product failures.· Product refurbishment and "making new"of all repaired products before dispatch to retail outlets.· Maintaining equipment by performingregular maintenance checks, replacing parts, or performing repairs to repairequipment such as hand tools and power tools· Diagnosing problems with repairequipment and making recommendations for repair or replacement· Ensure accurate data capture andtracking of all repaired units, fault codes and resolutions in a timely manner.· Conducting periodic cycle counts andmonthly stock count.· Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles· Meet the daily set targets of repairproducts per day to ensure the required swap stock is availedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· Education:A minimum of Diploma in electronics engineering or relevant education· Experience:At least 1 year of professional experience in electronics engineering withrelevant repairs experience· Ability to communicate technicalinformation on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing· Well versed with the various systems,tools, and procedures used in testing & failure analysis· Experience in using or a desire tolearn the required software.· Good attitude towards acquiring newknowledge· Able to work under pressure and tightdatelines· Self -motivated and able to workindependently· Good Interpersonal skills· Hands -On experience working withembedded systemsInterestedand qualified applicants should submit their applications through the linkbelow.Note:Only shortlisted applicants will becontacted.Q -SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUALOPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
