Main Purpose Supervising the daily logistics activities andproviding maintenance to the MSF equipment, facilities and infrastructures, according to MSF standards and protocols in order to maintain the facilities inperfect conditions and collaborate in the development of the mission. Accountabilities        Monitoring maintenance activities of infrastructures,management of non -medical stocks and equipment according to MSF standards Ensuring the check and follow -up of facilities under the linemanager's supervision through daily visits to the facilities and reporting anyanomalies or problems, evaluation of the rehabilitation needs and following upminor building rehabilitation work according to supervisor's instructions;checking that premises observe security norms and monitoring the consumption ofmechanical and electrical vehicles/machines/devicesPlanning together with the line manager the required checksand maintenance activities of energy systems/set -up according to MSF standards Coordinating and leading the logistics team under his/herresponsibility which includes daily supervision, monitoring of the quality ofwork and the definition of each person's task, drawing up their workingschedules; organizing and leading team meetings; participating in therecruitment of team personnel and attending logistics meetings and accountingfor his activitiesEnsuring the vehicle fleet maintenance which includesplanning and overseeing timely preventive and curative maintenance of allproject vehicles according to MSF standards and instructing and monitoringdrivers on correct driving habits and standard checksManaging andfollowing up orders which includes collecting logistics orders coming fromdifferent departments or health facilities; drawing up and following up ordersaccording to the procedures in force;  providing technical support to the storekeeper, makes local purchasesaccording to MSF supply proceduresand ensures reception conditions of freight or arriving material as well as theorganization and setting up of materials before its shipment MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities       WATSAN(Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Responsibilities: Supervise all water,sanitation, and hygiene (WATSAN) activities in the Mombasa project to keep themrunning smoothly and safely. Coordinate maintenance and repair of all WATSANequipment (like water pumps, treatment units, waste systems) so services arenever interrupted. Make sure all WATSAN work meets MSF's quality, safety, andenvironmental (Planetary Health) standards in every MSF facility. Manage WATSANsupplies: keep accurate stock records, place orders (local and international),and ensure that enough materials are always available for project needs.Organize and deliver all required WATSAN and Planetary Health training forstaff and partners. Construction& Facility Maintenance: Handle day -to -day construction tasks at the projectlevel, this includes preparing drawings, writing bills of quantities (BoQs),managing tenders, drafting contracts, supervising contractors, and givingtechnical support to the Logistics Manager. Keep all MSF buildings andfacilities in good, safe condition. This covers repairs to furniture, plumbing,electrical fittings, woodwork, welding, and other small -scale maintenance.Create and follow a clear work plan for all construction and repair activities,making sure contractors follow MSF rules, safety standards, and qualityrequirements.TechnicalEquipment & Systems Management: Prepare and maintain cold boxes andrefrigerated transport (passive cold chain) for medical supplies. Install andservice fridges and freezers (active cold chain) and make sure emergency backupplans are ready and tested. Biomedical Equipment: Ensure all medical devicesare serviced on schedule, following technical guidelines. Train medical stafffor proper use and basic care of equipment. Energy Systems: Carry out scheduledmaintenance on generators and solar power systems. Track monthly energy use andreport any technical needs or risks to the Logistics Manager at a good time.HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning): Keep indoor temperature andhumidity at safe, comfortable levels in all MSF buildings, and follow themaintenance schedule for all HVAC equipment. Fleet(Vehicle) Management: Oversee all vehicles used by the project: plan trips,manage driver schedules, ensure regular maintenance, track fuel use, managespare parts stock, and guarantee safety for drivers and passengers. Make sureall vehicles meet legal requirements (insurance, registration) and that thefleet runs efficiently and cost -effectively ICT &Telecom Support: Provide basic IT and communication support in the project;this includes helping with computers, radios, internet, and other communicationtools to keep teams connected.Team &Human Resources: Lead and supervise the team: set clear goals, assign tasks,give feedback, conduct performance reviews, and ensure high -quality work. Planahead for staffing needs in logistics, request support or new hires when neededto keep activities running smoothlyCoordination & Support: Work closely withthe supply team to quickly meet urgent logistics needs (like emergencypurchases/deliveries or equipment). Draft clear, complete contracts forservices or works, and manage them from start to finish. Support the projectteam with site assessments and ensure all safety and security rules are followed.Report any issues or risks to the Logistics Manager.
