Job Title: Lead Electrician – Operations Department

Location: Maasai Mara, Kenya

Employment Type: Full-time, On-Site

Salary: KES 100,000 per month (accommodation and meals provided)

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a luxury, eco-friendly, 100% solar-powered safari lodge in the Maasai Mara.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Electrician to maintain and repair all electrical, solar, and related systems at the lodge. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, reliable, and capable of supporting additional technical areas such as water systems, plumbing, and basic IT networking to ensure smooth day-to-day lodge operations.

Key Responsibilities


• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain solar-powered electrical systems.


• Inspect, repair, and maintain lodge electrical wiring, fixtures, and appliances.


• Support water supply infrastructure, including boreholes, pumps, and plumbing systems.


• Perform basic troubleshooting for LAN/Wi-Fi network connectivity.


• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.


• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.


• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and hospitality standards.

Qualifications & Experience


• Recognized Electrical Technician/Electrician certification.


• Proven experience with solar power systems (installation, repair, and maintenance).


• Basic plumbing and water systems knowledge, including borehole and pump operations.


• Basic understanding of IT/network troubleshooting (LAN/Wi-Fi).


• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
