Role Description
We're seeking highly skilled and experienced
Data Scientists
based in Kenya to join our talent network for future client projects. As part of our staff augmentation model, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely with different US clients, while being supported by our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of statistical knowledge, programming skills, and business acumen to solve complex problems and drive measurable business impact through
machine learning
and advanced statistical modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Modeling:
Design, develop, train, and evaluate
predictive and prescriptive models
using advanced machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
- Problem Solving:
Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to identify key business questions and translate them into
quantifiable data science problems
.
- Data Analysis:
Conduct
exploratory data analysis (EDA)
, statistical testing, and A/B test analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and causal relationships.
- Deployment:
Work with Data Engineers to
productionize, deploy, and monitor
machine learning models in a cloud environment (MLOps).
- Storytelling:
Communicate complex analytical findings and model results clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through
visualizations and presentations
.
- Research:
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technologies in machine learning and artificial intelligence
Qualifications
- Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
- Statistics & Math:
Strong foundational knowledge in
statistics, probability, linear algebra
, and experimental design.
- Programming:
High proficiency in
Python
(including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and
R
, and strong SQL skills.
- Machine Learning:
Hands-on experience with various machine learning techniques for real-world applications.
- Tools:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g.,
Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib
).
- Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business audiences.
- Education:
Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.

Work Environment
