Key Responsibilities:
Data Cleanliness and Quality:
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems.
Regularly review and clean data to remove duplicates, correct errors, and update outdated information.
Implement and maintain data quality rules and standards.
Daily Data Sign-Off:
Perform daily data validation and sign-off processes to ensure data readiness for business operations.
Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve data discrepancies and issues promptly.
Data Classification:
Utilize data classification tools like Microsoft Purview to categorize and label data according to its sensitivity and compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain data classification policies and procedures.
Data Governance:
Collaborate with the Data Governance Manager to implement and enforce data governance. policies
Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices across the organization.
Data Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and metadata repositories.
Ensure all data documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to team members and other departments on data management best practices and tools.
Act as a point of contact for data-related queries and issues.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure data handling practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Monitor data access and usage to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data classification tools such as Microsoft Purview.
Strong knowledge of data quality principles and best practices.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Nice to have:
Experience in the audit or advisory services industry.
Certification in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
