Duties and responsibility

100% field workstation in Mathioya grid with occasional field travel assignments outside Mathioya as authorised by the management.


Planning, coordination, and execution

Minigrid planning and budgeting and help to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.

Technical operations planning, coordination, and reporting

Oversee the divisions in the technical department- Plant Operations, Grid constructions and End user installations.

Setting schedules for the divisions and ensure timeline is achieved.

Conducting technical administrative duties such as drafting invoices, signing payment vouchers he is authorised to, drawing estimates and approving payments he is authorised to.


Minigrid construction, maintenance, and grid database

Quality checks on the construction works.

Grid planning and drawings

Coordinate with construction supervisor for route identification, pegging and mapping, wayleaves, and easements.

Ensure the projects adheres to the timeline, budget, and scope.

Prepare reports on the overall performance of the minigrid.

Ensure Minigrid map is up to date capturing grid extensions.

Tracking and reporting project progress


Technical logistics and Tracking

Plan and oversee team logistics and facilitate acquisition of means where necessary.

Conduct periodical checks on the company motor vehicles.

Ensure company motor vehicles are well managed and well maintained.

Maintain a track record of motor vehicles usage and repairs.


Material requisition, storage, and tracking

Timely submission of budgets and request of materials from the procurement department

Point of contact between procurement and the technical divisions

Ensure materials receipts and dispatch are well recorded and updated.

Oversee good storage of company assets and materials.


Other duties

Field assignments as required by the management and the company.

Work closely with office administration, customer care departments and sales.

Any duties that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time.



Minimum Qualification


Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering or related course

Possession of Eppra License C1 

A member of Engineers Board of Kenya is a Plus

Minimum of 6 months Prior knowledge and experience working in a Mini grid or power line designs and construction is a MUST.

Possession of Driver’s License is a Plus
