Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is a registered non-operating holding company that commenced its operations as a licensed banking institution on January 1, 2016.

The holding company supervises KCB Kenya, established on January 1, along with all KCB's regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, and South Sudan.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and coordinate business requirements reviews across functional teams to ensure completeness, precision, and testability of the requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define project test strategies and plans, estimate test efforts, and ensure successful test strategy implementation.
  • Develop, document, and maintain both manual and automated functional and non-functional test cases along with test scripts and other essential test artifacts.
  • Work closely with business units and project teams to execute and validate test cases based on business requirements while maintaining traceability to the requirements.
  • Collaborate with critical stakeholders to enhance SQA processes, adopt relevant tools, and define reusable templates aligned with the SQA Framework.
  • Define test processes, conduct Test Readiness Assessment, establish test beds, and ensure availability for all planned testing activities.
  • Engage in non-functional testing activities and collaborate with technical teams in areas such as integration, regression, load, performance, security, and usability testing.
  • Prepare, share, and review test results regularly, report defects, bugs, and develop test acceptance reports for projects and software changes.
  • Conduct post-deployment sanity and regression tests, along with post-implementation reviews to confirm alignment with business requirements.
  • Participate in formulating and implementing Software process improvement policies and strategies within the IT division.


MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Academic & Professional
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study
    • ISTQB / ISTQB Agile Tester Certification / Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) / Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) / Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) / CMSQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality)
    • PRINCE II (Practitioner) / AgilePM / PMI-ACP / Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM) / Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
    • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Project Management

  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years in Software Quality Assurance
    • Minimum of 4 years in IT Projects
    • 2 years in Emerging Technologies (e.g. Mobile, Internet Banking, Cloud, Microservices, etc)
    • 2 years in Software Applications & Support
    • 2 years in Software Development
