JOB SUMMARY

ShambaniPro is an innovative social enterprise that's building a chain of micro-factories around central Kenya. We are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will support the design, tracking and reporting of our impact. As the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer you will support in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for Shambani Pro. This role involves the development and execution of M&E plans and the learning agenda, data collection on relevant KPIs and analysis of the same, reporting, and supporting capacity-building efforts. You will collaborate with Shambani Pro's production and project teams to ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning to enhance project outcomes and impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

M&E Planning and Implementation Support: Assist in the development and implementation of M&E plans and learning agendas to demonstrate impact outcomes. Contribute to the design of key performance indicators, targets, and data collection methodologies and frameworks. Support the establishment of data collection systems and tools. Data Collection and Analysis: Participate in data collection activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Visit farmers, farmer groups, and partner locations to monitor project activities and collect relevant data. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to determine project progress and outcomes. Identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement based on data analysis and findings. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on project performance and level of impact. Document M&E activities, including data, reports, and evaluations. Support the presentation of findings and recommendations to project stakeholders. Capacity Building and Training: Train Shambani Pro team members and key staff on M&E concepts, tools, and methodologies. Provide support to project staff and partners in data collection and reporting. Contribute to building a culture of learning and evidence-based decision-making within the organization. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams to integrate M&E frameworks and designs into project design and implementation strategies. Engage with external stakeholders, including NGOs, grant providers, and communities. Support the sharing of M&E findings and best practices with stakeholders.
