Seeking a Junior Talent Partner to provide technical support on talent-related matters to assigned teams and business leaders in Nairobi operations.

Fresh Life works with municipalities and urban residents to develop and scale safe, citywide inclusive and financially sustainable sanitation solutions in fast growing cities starting with Nairobi, Kisumu and Eldoret in Kenya.

Talent Partner Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand staffing needs across assigned departments
  • Engage with Talent Acquisition representative on sourcing strategies for open vacancies and oversee candidate experience
  • Lead interviews, guide conversations and evaluate candidates to ensure strong hires
  • Advise on on-boarding process and conduct induction sessions for senior new joiners
Performance Management
  • Review employee performance through Talent Review Board sessions
  • Ensure compliance with performance systems and orient employees to performance tools
  • Support and coach teammates, supervisors and managers on performance improvement measures
Employee & Industrial Relations
  • Serve as trusted resource for addressing employee policies and processes
  • Attend to employee relations matters, including disciplinary and staff grievances
Learning and Development
  • Support teams in identifying L&D needs and administering budget
Employee Engagement, Health, Wellness and Well-being
  • Support in developing employee engagement plans and initiating activities
  • Interact and build relationships with staff members and executive team
  • Encourage cordial working relationships and foster collaboration amongst team members
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 2+ years' experience as HR generalist supporting functions such as HR operations, contract management, administration, employee relations and performance management practices
  • Professional body membership is an added advantage: IHRM, CHRP-K, SHRM
  • Previous experience from industrial or manufacturing setup, social impact or NGO sector is ideal
