Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching in areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.
Supervising or assisting with supervision of any research studies, attachment and teaching practice undertaken by the students.Providing mentorship and career guidance to students
Participating in the development, administration and marking of examinations and other assessments
Handling students' grievances that relate to their learning needs.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
Minimum Qualification and ExperiencePhD/Doctorate in Statistics or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
Master of Science in Statistics degree or a related area from a recognized/accredited university.
Bachelor of Science in Statistics degree or in a relevant field from a recognized/accredited University.
At least three years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
A minimum of thirty-two (32* equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow of which twenty-four (24*) should be from refereed journal articles.
Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students.Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow
Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
Evidence of leadership (administrative experience, active participation in departmental /school/university/national/international activities)
