Premier Relationship Manager at

Job Summary:- Responsible for recruiting and managing a portfolio of premier clients by providing a top-notch financial planning service focused on building strong relationships.- Engage with existing bank customers and external clients to achieve significant sales and high client satisfaction.- Manage client relationships proactively on a mobile basis, meeting clients at their preferred times and locations.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables/Outcomes:
Relationship Management and Cross-Selling (Time split 85%):
  • Be the primary point of contact for customers in the portfolio
  • Proactively recruit clients, including referrals and family banking strategy
  • Ensure portfolio meets CLM Engaged measures for funding, digital usage, and product holding
  • Drive cross-sales targets and engage business specialists as needed
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, update calendar/diary, and follow Premier Customer Engagement procedures

Business Management (Time split 10%):
  • Maintain targeted business results for income, balance sheet, costs, client satisfaction, and recruitment
  • Review portfolio regularly and adhere to Absa Premier guidelines and regulatory standards

Risk and Controls (Time split 5%):
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Understand and manage risks relevant to the role

Role/Person Specification:
Preferred Qualification:- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
Preferred Experience:- Approximately 2 years of team leader experience- Track record of success in sales and service- Experience in handling customer complaints and operational risks- Previous roles like Personal Banker Team Leader or Prestige Team Leader
Knowledge and Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Absa Africa retail products and services
  • Familiarity with technical systems like Flex, BOC, IBOC
  • Understanding of retail network business processes and audit requirements
  • Awareness of Absa Africa's risk policy and retail strategy
  • Knowledge of local competitor market and team leadership
