Senior Deputy Director Health Management- Health Financing at

The Public Service Commission has a rich history dating back to 1954 when it was founded as the Civil Service Commission under the British Colonial Government. Since then, it has evolved and currently holds the distinction of being the oldest Constitutional Commission in the country. The Commission plays a crucial role in the appointment process and has seen its mandate grow significantly over the years.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the development, implementation, and review of various policies, strategies, and frameworks related to health sector resource mobilization
- Leading efforts in mobilizing resources for health financing
- Providing capacity building and technical support to staff at different levels on health financing matters
- Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports on health financing
- Identifying health resource gaps and priorities in financing
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in the health financing sector
- Playing a key role in determining variables in health financing within the integrated digital healthcare system
- Establishing performance goals and evaluation measures in finance and resource mobilization
- Implementing Business Process Re-engineering initiatives in health financing
- Conducting health financing surveys and monitoring trends in resource mobilization
- Overseeing customer satisfaction surveys related to health financing
- Leading the implementation of health financing projects and programs
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience at the Deputy Director level or similar position in the public service
- Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Health Economics, or related fields
- Master's Degree in Health System Management, Public Health, Project Management, or relevant discipline
- Registration and licensing by a recognized regulatory body
- Membership in a relevant professional body (if applicable)
- Demonstrated competencies in managerial, administrative, and professional aspects of work
