Job Purpose

The position holder will be responsible for creating and implementing a business aligned IT strategy, leading the digital transformation agenda through software development, managing system implementation projects, monitoring IT infrastructure, supporting data governance principles, cyber security systems, networks and prudent maintenance of the company's IT peripherals and digital assets.

Main Responsibilities

Adhere to strategy planning cycles through interactions with business unit heads and key stake holders to formulate an aligned IT strategy.

Prudent cost management through cost management initiatives and close monitoring and evaluation of IT budgets.

Develop and track solid project plans for software development, automation and systems implementation that will create intended value/ROI for the company.

Risk Management – Identify, evaluate and mitigate against key IT risks that would cripple business operations through a robust risk management framework.

Implementation of a disaster recovery plan in line with business continuity practices.

Conduct internal policy trainings, clinics, internal communication campaigns and awareness workshops to propagate IT strategic agenda and boost compliance.

Minimize system downtime and optimize systems to realize maximum return on investment.
System Administration - Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability

Website Administration – Creating, Maintaining and troubleshooting web content and design to ensure that the assigned website is functional, accurate, and up to date.

System & Software Development - Developing and implementing applications and programs for the backend processing systems used in businesses and organizations.

Network Administration - Installing Configuring & Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.

Database Administration – Ensuring Company data backup is successful and secure both online and offline storage. Also, management of SQL Database for some application in use.
User support - Offering technical support to company staff and troubleshooting computer problems.
Adherence on internal service level agreements.
Maintain updated issue logs and timely submission of indent reports.
Adherence to performance management cycles.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role:

Bachelor's degree in an IT related field.
At least 7 years working experience with 3 years in a management position.
Preferred working experience in FMCG and financial services.

Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role:

Professional Certificate In CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA
Relevant certification in Project Management
Relevant certification in software development (will be an added advantage)
