Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is a registered non-operating holding company that commenced operations as a licensed banking institution on January 1, 2016. The company oversees KCB Kenya, along with regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, and South Sudan.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a holistic enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives.
- Ensure that technology choices support long-term growth and align with business goals and regulatory needs.
- Assess the bank's existing technology capabilities and define a roadmap that aligns with strategic goals and digital transformation.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex technology solutions in line with architectural standards and business requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to address technical debt, modernize applications, and optimize the use of new technologies.
- Define plans to modernize legacy applications while enhancing scalability, performance, and agility.
- Establish criteria for evaluating and prioritizing technology investments that deliver value to the business.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices to enhance operational excellence and customer experience.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop technology roadmaps for different business units, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Design architectures for applications and systems, promoting consistency and integration across platforms.
- Assist in selecting technologies that align with the bank's needs and architecture.
- Document the bank's enterprise architecture, including standards, guidelines, and solution blueprints.
- Identify and address gaps in technology and business capabilities.

Academic & Professional

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study
- Master's Degree in Technology/Business
Professional Qualifications

TOGAF DE
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect
- Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology
- Expertise in Enterprise Architecture, multiple domains such as application, data, security, and infrastructure architecture
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and migrations to the cloud
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and best practices
- Proficiency in solution architecture, cloud technologies, data, application architectures, and integration patterns
- Knowledge of software delivery processes, methodologies, and DevOps
- Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Strong planning and organizational abilities with a focus on actionable elements
- Familiarity with graphical modeling approaches, tools, and model repositories
- Ability to balance short-term implications with long-term goals
- Skilled in liaising with management and subject matter experts to drive the adoption of Enterprise Architecture.
