**Software Tester Role Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about quality assurance, eager to learn, and capable of working independently. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain Test Cases using tools such as Confluence, Gherkin, and Cucumber Studio, and execute manual and automated Test Cases across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate remotely with Business and Product Owners to understand requirements.

  • Perform thorough Requirement Analysis to inform test planning.

  • Develop and maintain Test Cases using tools such as Confluence, Gherkin, and Cucumber Studio.

  • Execute manual and automated Test Cases across various platforms.

  • Log, track, and report defects using JIRA.

  • Track time and progress using JIRA and Cadence.

  • Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to manage and test backlog items.

  • Conduct Integration, Exploratory, Functional, and Regression Testing on new developments.

  • Perform Website Testing and testing on Utilita's in-house Windows-based system.

  • Document testing activities using Pandadocs and Mailtrap.

  • Conduct API Testing using Postman and Swagger.

  • Use SQL to validate and gather test data.

  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Presentsprint changes to stakeholders during bi-weekly remote demos.

  • Engage in monthly knowledge-sharing sessions with fellow testers.

  • Provide weekly QA feedback to the Test Lead.

  • General functional testing experience.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

  • Quick learner with a proactive and engaging attitude.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and remote team environments.
