Head of Food Preparation

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Food Preparation to join our prestigious 5-Star Hotel in South Sudan. As a highly skilled and experienced leader, you will be responsible for maintaining complete control of the kitchen and overseeing all culinary activities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of kitchen management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently. Additionally, they will have a working knowledge of various computer software programs, including MS Office and restaurant management software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• • Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
• • Modifying menus or creating new ones that meet quality standards
• • Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs
• • Maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations
• • Supervising kitchen staff's activities
• • Arranging for equipment purchases and repairs
• • Recruiting, training, managing, and supervising kitchen staff
• • Rectifying arising problems or complaints
• • Performing administrative duties
• • Complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Requirements:

• • Proven working experience as a Head Chef
• • Degree in culinary science or related certificate
• • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software)
• • Excellent record of kitchen management
• • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
• • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
• • Communication and leadership skills
