Regional Analyst

About the Role

This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to making a meaningful impact in rural development.

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Analyst to provide analytical support, data management solutions, and technical expertise for effective program management in the region.

The successful candidate will work closely with the regional team to ensure the generation and dissemination of targeted knowledge, as well as other relevant technical information to internal and regional staff.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing analytical inputs to corporate regional reports and documents, developing alternative and creative solutions for effective data management, and participating in project cycle activities and meetings.

You will also assist in monitoring the annual divisional disbursement envelope, tracking the implementation of regular grants and supplementary funds operations, and ensuring compliance with procedures, knowledge management, and results reporting of the regional grants program.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support and data management solutions for effective program management in the region
  • Work closely with the regional team to ensure the generation and dissemination of targeted knowledge and technical information
  • Assist in monitoring the annual divisional disbursement envelope and tracking the implementation of regular grants and supplementary funds operations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge sharing activities in the region and identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge management products and organization of learning events on emerging issues and themes

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree from an accredited institution in economics, business administration, management, social policy, research and analysis, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of two years of progressively relevant experience in a role providing analytical support within an international financial institution, development cooperation agencies, or the United Nations system
  • Demonstrated experience in capturing learning and documenting best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of another official language (Arabic, French, or Spanish) is desirable
