Practice Manager, Digital Transformation Specialist

The World Bank Group is seeking a seasoned Practice Manager for the Digital Transformation portfolio to lead and manage a team of professionals in delivering high-impact solutions to clients. This role will involve collaborating with global experts, country leaders, and development partners to drive digital transformation in client countries.

As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with bilateral donors, private sector players, and other stakeholders to advance digital transformation efforts. You will also oversee the development and implementation of innovative products and services that leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and data analytics to address complex development challenges.

About the Role

The Practice Manager will report to the Regional Practice Director and will work closely with the Global Practice Managers, Country Directors, and Program Leaders to advance digital transformation both vertically and horizontally in client countries. The role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as expertise in digital transformation, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

The Practice Manager will be responsible for the following areas:

• Developing and implementing strategies for digital transformation in client countries

• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with donors, private sector players, and other stakeholders

• Overseeing the development and implementation of innovative products and services that leverage cutting-edge technologies

• Managing a team of professionals to deliver high-impact solutions to clients

• Collaborating with global experts, country leaders, and development partners to drive digital transformation in client countries

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's or PhD degree in digital technology, public policy, private sector development, economics, laws, technology, or another relevant field

• 12+ years of experience in positions of increasing complexity and responsibility, preferably in multi-lateral development bank operations and digital transformation

• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Expertise in digital transformation, project management, and stakeholder engagement

• Strong technical knowledge and experience in one or more of the digital transformation areas described above

• Demonstrated track record of results and successfully working across practices, disciplinary, and institutional boundaries

• Ability to influence dialogue and policy on digital infrastructure and its use in other sectors without direct control or authority

• Strong written and oral communication skills with proven experience in dealing with media, external stakeholders, and expert groups
