The International Finance Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Investment Officer to join its Continental Africa team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and reports directly to the Global Manager of the Corporate Finance Advisory Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing new business strategies in the region, focusing on supporting clients with buy-side and sell-side advisory services, restructuring, equity mobilization, and IPO mandates.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in investment banking, private equity, financial modeling, and corporate finance. A Master's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on finance, and at least 6 years of experience are essential.

Apart from technical expertise, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment, and demonstrate fluency in English. Portuguese or French proficiency is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of buy-side and sell-side advisory services, restructuring, equity mobilization, and IPO mandates across Continental Africa.
  • Creating complex financial models and analyzing historical and projected financial statements.
  • Conducting industry and market research to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Preparing high-quality pitchbooks for internal and external dissemination.
  • Maintaining accurate records of current and upcoming projects and updating management as needed.
