Job Summary:

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Nurse to join their team in Florence, SC. As a key member of the healthcare team, this nurse will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess patient physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and provide appropriate interventions to address these needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by attending conferences, workshops, and other educational events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or Compact State.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
