Job Title: Network Support Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our multiservice network infrastructure.

Responsibilities include handling customer complaints, providing solutions and alternatives within time limits, and following up to ensure resolution. You will also troubleshoot systems using available tools, diagnose and resolve faults on network devices, and ensure core network performance and availability meet stipulated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Skills in Enterprise Solutions, VPN, SDWAN, including METRO, MPLS, GPON, and Wireless networks.
  • Actively monitor the network and report unforeseen issues promptly.
  • Monitor key network performance parameters and propose improvements in monitoring.
  • Understanding of CRM, trouble ticketing systems, dispatch procedures, and processes within the Customer Experience department.
  • Experience in Onsite support and maintenance of fiber and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge in reading, analysing, and interpreting periodical reports and technical procedures.
  • Assist Account Executive in managing incoming phone calls.
  • Ability to present information effectively to managers, technical leads, and customers.
RequirementsSkills and Experience
  • Strong analytical skills and data interpretation ability.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize faults, responding or escalating accordingly.
  • Phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Configuration skills for different switch, firewall, and router types.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 call-out Rota.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of BGP, MPLS (L2 and L3 VPNs), ISIS, and OSPF in IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CCNA/JNCIA/HCNA certification; CCNP/JNCIP an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
