We are seeking a skilled Digital Asset Accountant to join our team at Black Pen Recruitment.

As a Digital Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance as it applies to cryptocurrencies. They will also possess hands-on experience with accounting software and platforms used for crypto accounting, such as CoinTracker or Koinly.

In addition, the successful candidate will have knowledge of blockchain technology and crypto markets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, and NFTs. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.

This is a full-time/ permanent position offering a salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to cryptocurrency transactions, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Transaction Tracking & Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile cryptocurrency transactions across various platforms (wallets, exchanges, DeFi platforms, etc.).
  • Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare tax reports related to cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
  • Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger for cryptocurrency holdings, including detailed records of all digital asset transactions.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Assist in the preparation for external audits, ensuring all crypto-related financial records are well-organized and compliant.
