We are committed to working with partners, governments, and communities to ensure that every child receives the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. Our programs focus on education, health, water and sanitation, and protection, among other areas.
About This Role
The Chief, Social Policy reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction, responsible for leading, managing, and supervising all stages of social policy programming and related advocacy from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of concrete and sustainable results.
This includes programmes aimed at improving (a) public policies to reduce child poverty; (b) social protection coverage and impact on children; (c) the transparency, adequacy, equity and efficiency of child-focused public investments and financial management; and (d) governance, decentralization and accountability measures to increase public participation and the quality, equity and coverage of social services.
This position will require strong leadership skills, expertise in social policy, and experience working with governments, NGOs, and community groups. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement effective social policy strategies, build partnerships, and manage teams to achieve results.
