About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Regional Financial Management Coordinator to lead our team in conducting fiduciary diagnostic work, operational support missions, and technical support activities in East Africa.
As a key member of our Senior Vice-Presidency, you will provide technical guidance on financial management activities, assess the adequacy of borrowers' project financial management systems, and undertake Country Fiduciary Risk Assessments.
You will also oversee the review of financial management aspects of assigned projects and programs, attend negotiations, and participate in project launching missions.
Our ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or a related discipline and a professional accounting certification.
They will also have at least seven years of relevant experience with a donor organization working on public sector financial management and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, International Public Sector Accounting Standards, and International Standards on Auditing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance on financial management activities
- Assess the adequacy of borrowers' project financial management systems
- Undertake Country Fiduciary Risk Assessments
- Oversee the review of financial management aspects of assigned projects and programs
- Attend negotiations
- Participate in project launching missions
