Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya Credable Group Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Credable is transforming financial services in emerging markets with its best-in-class Digital Banking Platform. We help partners launch financial products by embedding them into digital channels their customers already use.

The foundation of the platform is grounded in data that informs everything we do: from credit scoring to marketing segmentation and everything in between.

This approach enables us to embed credit and savings products into any partner channel, making them easy to access and highly contextual. The benefit is that our platform can cater to a wide range of use cases:

  • MNOs can deploy efficient loan and savings systems optimised for their channels.
  • Fintechs can offer tailored financial services to their unique customer base.
  • Banks can create new revenue streams and enhance customer loyalty without overhauling their core systems.

The result is a win-win-win for partners, customers, and Credable. Having deployed across multiple markets in Africa, we've proven our platform meets a critical need and is driving us toward our core objectives:

  • Democratizing financial services by reaching over 500 million people.
  • Becoming the most trusted source of data in emerging markets.

The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist & Office Manager to join our team in Nairobi. This dual role combines administrative HR responsibilities with office management, ensuring the seamless operation of our office while supporting the Head of HR in implementing key people initiatives.

As an integral member of the team, you will focus on a range of administrative tasks, including drafting and updating employee contracts and policies, maintaining accurate employee records, and assisting with recruitment efforts by writing job advertisements and managing job postings. Additionally, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the Nairobi office, ensuring an efficient, organised, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and update employee contracts, policies, and HR documentation in compliance with local labour laws in all of our markets and company guidelines.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements, coordinate with candidates, and support the recruitment process.
  • Assist the Head of HR with the rollout of HR initiatives and projects, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Provide administrative support for HR reports, presentations, and audits.
  • Act as a liaison between the Nairobi office and HR leadership to ensure consistent communication.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the Nairobi office, including supply management, vendor coordination, and facility maintenance.
  • Manage office budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for visitors, employees, and external stakeholders at the Nairobi office.
  • Support employees in understanding and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Advocate our culture of high performance success and support the execution of company OKR's and wellbeing strategies.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in HR administration or office management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our Culture

As a company, we are guided by two core objectives:

  • Democratising access to financial services by launching best-in-class products into channels that can reach more than 500 million people across our markets.
  • Becoming the most trusted source of data in emerging markets.

At Credable, we are a fast-paced, high-performing team driven by a shared passion for building the future of banking and democratising access to finance across emerging markets. Our team operates across offices in Dubai, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Kampala, Maputo, and Porto, with frequent travel to strengthen connections with colleagues and partners.

We are entering an exciting phase of hyper-growth, expanding into new markets, scaling operations, and evolving our structures to shape the future of Credable in 2025. We are looking for energetic, curious individuals who are passionate about our vision and eager to create value while driving innovation and growth in the markets we operate in.

Join us if you want to shape the future of banking

We believe in equal opportunities, we welcome applications from diverse backgrounds. However experience working in FinTech, Banking/Finance, or Telcos is a big plus.
